The general premise of the card game is to be given cards adding up to twenty-one. Each competitor is assigned 2 cards. When a blackjack player is dealt a 9 or less and an Ace they’ve been given a soft hand. When the black jack player is dealt no Ace it is referred to as a hard hand. As soon as the cards have been dealt all players at the table, including the dealer, each blackjack player is provided the chance to make 1 of six decisions:
Requesting another card (Hit): When a player announces "hit" the croupier will give them another card, if the adding of that card makes the total greater than 21 the black jack player will have busted and be excluded from the game, if the card makes the total to twenty one the player is the winner and if the value of the hand has not yet reached twenty-one they’re still in the game.
Keeping the hand you have been given: If a player is satisfied with the hand they will stay. As soon as this has happened the dealer will display his or her hand and the gambler who has gotten twenty one or the closet to twenty-one will acquire a win.
Doubling Down: A gambler might request to double down which increases the bet by 100% they have laid. Once you have taken this procedure you can only be given one more card. The details of doubling down are often specified by the table or betting house game rules so before wagering be sure you’re at ease with the casino rules. If you’re playing at a web-based casino this is usually quite simple.
